Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only of Richard McCormick. Her father taught in the school system and her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick started singing and performing from a young age. At the age of six, McCormick young, she took home an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked her whether she'd like to go into show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major performance in 1964 on the tv spot for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in the year 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the leading character on The Wind It Up and It Breaks, a play at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had the same family as a blended one. The show ran for five seasons and the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick disclosed her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year run in the series. She was just 16 when she was in the scene and he was just 19. We would've had a couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't just right.
